Alexander Maria Schmidt

Alexander Maria Schmidt grew up in Hamburg and studied acting in Stuttgart. His first engagement took him to Schauspielhaus Bochum, where he was a member of the permanent ensemble from 2000 to 2010. From 2010, he worked as a freelance actor at Schauspielhaus Zürich (2000–2017), Konzert Theater Bern (2017–2020) and Theater Winkelwiese Zürich, among others. He has a long-standing working relationship with director Karin Henkel and is currently performing in her production of »Richard the Kid and the King« at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg. Alexander Maria Schmidt regularly works as a narrator for audio books and radio plays.
