Alexander Maria Schmidt

Alexander Maria Schmidt grew up in Hamburg and studied acting in Stuttgart. His first engagement took him to the Schauspielhaus Bochum, where he was a member of the permanent ensemble from 2000 to 2010. From 2010 onwards, he appeared as a freelance actor at venues including the Schauspielhaus Zürich, the Konzert Theater Bern and the Theater Winkelwiese Zürich. He has long-standing working relationships with the directors Karin Henkel and Manuel Bürgin. He is currently appearing in Henkel’s »Richard the Kid and the King« at Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg. Alexander Maria Schmidt works regularly as a narrator for audiobooks and radio plays.
