Simone Geyer studied German philology and theatre studies at the Freie Universität Berlin until 2016. During this time, she worked as an intern and assistant at the Deutsches Theater Berlin and Thalia Theater Hamburg for Brit Bartkowiak, Jan Bosse and Antú Romero Nunes, among others.
From 2016 to 2019, Simone Geyer was a permanent assistant director at the Thalia Theater Hamburg. Here she worked several times with Antú Romero Nunes as well as with Anne Lenk, Franziska Autzen, Johan Simons, Stefan Pucher, Jan Bosse, Ersan Mondtag, Leander Haußmann, among others.
Since 2019, Simone Geyer is working as a freelance director and video artist. Her production of »My Hell« by house author Oksana Savchenko in the 2023/24 season brings her to the Theater und Orchester Heidelberg for the first time.
