Born in Dresden, Thomas Cermak completed his acting training from 1988 to 1992 at the Hochschule für Schauspielkunst »Ernst Busch« in Rostock. In 1991 he was already engaged at the Junge Staatstheater Berlin (Theater der Freundschaft). From 1995 onwards he gave guest performances as a freelance actor at municipal and state theatres in Leipzig, Bielefeld, Gelsenkirchen, Gießen, Oberhausen, Osnabrück, Kempten, Aalen, Pforzheim, Karlsruhe, Darmstadt, Wiesbaden, Hamburg, Munich, Karlsruhe, Heidelberg, among others. From 1997 to 1999 Thomas Cermak initiated the Schwarzburger Sommertheater in Thuringia as producer, director and actor. He was also an ensemble member in Andrej Woron's »theatr kreatur« in Berlin from 2000 to 2003. Thomas Cermak can also be seen in film and television productions.
