Florian Götz

Florian Götz studied singing at the GSMD London and the HfM Weimar. He was subsequently an ensemble member at the Erfurt Theatre from 2010-2014. He has made guest appearances at Oper Leipzig, Staatstheater Darmstadt, Karlsruhe and Augsburg as well as at the Nationaltheater Weimar. He made his debut at the Opéra National de Paris as Artabano in Pagliardi's »Caligula delirante« under Vincent Dumestre, at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in »Il Barbiere di Siviglia« and as Guglielmo at the Gasteig in Munich. He is a guest of renowned music centres such as Ludwigsburger Schloßfestspiele, Rheingau Musik Festival, Händelfestspiele Halle and Göttingen, Festival de Sablé, Konzerthaus Berlin, de Single Antwerpen, Concertgebouw Amsterdam. He works with orchestras such as Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, Stuttgarter Symphoniker, Akamus Berlin, Lautten Compagney, l'arte del mondo, Ricercar Consort under conductors such as Sir Collin Davis, Antony Bramall, Michael Sanderling, Jean-Claude Malgoire and Konrad Junghänel. In 2021/22 he sang the title role in Vivaldi's Bajazet at the Staatstheater Nürnberg and Baron de Brik-Brak in Gazzaniga's L'isola d'Alcina at the Schwetzingen SWR Festival. The current season includes the title role in Mozart's »Le nozze di Figaro« at the Lübeck Theatre as well as the role of Cattivo Genio in Bernasconi's L'Huomo with the Ensemble 1700 under Dorothe Oberlinger at the Tage für Alte Musik in Herne (WDR live broadcast), at the Markgräfliches Opernhaus Bayreuth and at the Musikfestspiele Potsdam Sanssouci.
