Anastasia Polishchuk

Ukrainian mezzo-soprano Anastasia Polishchuk completed her musical studies in Kiev, first at the Glier Higher Musical College and then at the National Tchaikovsky Academy of Music of Ukraine. Here she trained in the vocal class of Professor L. Dovgan and earned her Master's degree in 2019. The young singer is the winner of the 1st prize in the VII. International Competition »Premier 2017« (Kiev, 2012) and 2nd prize in the First Ukrainian Singing Competition »Spivucha Ukraina« in memory of Olga Blagovidova (Odessa, 2017). At the Ukrainian National Opera Taras Shevchenko in Kiev, Anastasia Polishuck performed the roles of Olga and the Grandmother in »Eugene Onegin« by Peter Tchaikovsky. At the invitation of the ХНАТОБ National Theatre of Opera and Ballet in Kharkiv, she interpreted the role of Baba in »The Medium« by Gian Carlo Menotti as part of the project »First Ukrainian Music and Theatre Residency СхідOPERA (OstOPER)«.  She sang works by Haydn, Lysenko and Wagner as well as Ukrainian sacred compositions at the National Philharmonic of Ukraine. She has performed with the Kiev Symphony Orchestra, the national soloist ensemble »Kiev Camerata«, the national chamber ensemble »Kiev Soloists« and the National Academic Orchestra of Folk Instruments of Ukraine, and also maintains musical cooperation with contemporary composers.
