The French pianist Manon Parmentier has been principal accompanist at the Heidelberg Theatre and Orchestra since the 2023/24 season. She completed a master's degree in musicology in Vienna and a master's degree in accompaniment at the Musikhochschule in Stuttgart.
During her studies, Manon Parmentier already took part in opera productions at the Stuttgart State Opera and Wilhelma Theatre, as well as the Göppingen Festival. In 2016, she was invited to the Gärtnerplatztheater in Munich as a répétiteur and a year later to the opera studio in Strasbourg.
From 2019 to 2022, she was employed as a répétiteur at the Opéra national du Rhin in Strasbourg and played the piano part in »Anatevka«, »Le Journal d´un disparu«, »El amor brujo« and »West Side Story« (directed by Barrie Kosky) together with the Orchestre Symphonique Mulhouse. In the 2022/23 season, she was engaged by the opera houses of Heidelberg, Heilbronn, Dijon, Metz and Nancy as a répétiteur. She expanded her repertoire with operas that were performed in France for the first time: »Stiffelio« by Verdi with Jonathan Tetelman in the leading role and »Manru« by Paderewski.
Manon Parmentier regularly accompanies choirs such as the Gaechinger Cantorey, accompanies actors at the Théâtre National in Strasbourg, has performed with artists such as Mark Padmore, Stéphanie d'Oustrac and cellist Edgar Moreau and has worked with renowned conductors such as Ariane Matiakh, Marta Gardolińska, Andrea Sanguineti, David Reiland, Debora Waldman, Lukasz Borowicz, Christophe Rousset and David Charles Abell.
She won second prize and the prize for the best interdisciplinary project at the Goodmesh Concours 2021.
