Mare Kraus

Mare Kraus, born in Karlsruhe in 1992, is an actor and performance artist. They completed their dance training in 2011 and went on to study acting in Wiesbaden and Hamburg. They have worked at Hamburger Kammerspiele, Altonaer Theater and Ernst Deutsch Theater Hamburg, among others. They took up their first permanent engagement in the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons at Landestheater Dinslaken. In addition to working in theatre, film and television, Mare Kraus continuously works as a performance artist and in the independent scene. In 2019, they founded the activist-feminist theatre collective FAUL&HÄSSLICH. In 2020, they produced the capitalism-critical theatre night »SCHICHTARBEIT - Herstory repeats itself«. In the 2021/22 season, Mare Kraus became be a permanent ensemble member at Junges Theater Heidelberg.
