Klaus Brantzen

Born in Mainz, the actor, singer and cabaret artist studied music and acting in his home town. After a four-year engagement at the Vereinigte Städtische Bühnen Krefeld and Mönchengladbach, he has been working freelance since 1993. He has been engaged again and again for operetta and musical roles, for example at the Staatsoper unter den Linden, the Theater der Stadt Bonn, the Musical Theater Bremen, the Staatstheater Kassel, as well as the Thunerseespielen and the Burgfestspiele Jagsthausen. At the Musiktheater im Revier in Gelsenkirchen he took on the role of Puck in »A Midsummer Night’s Dream« and also the part of Herr Schultz in »Cabaret«. As Alfred P. Doolittle he celebrated great successes in »My fair Lady« at the Deutsches Theater München, the Admiralspalast Berlin and the Heidelberger Schlossfestspiele. Klaus Brantzen works regularly with directors such as Peter Lund, Helga Wolf and Andrea Schwalbach and is active as a cabaret artist both as a soloist and in several ensembles.
