Jana Vetten is a director working in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands. She studied directing at the Thomas Bernhard Institute of the Mozarteum Salzburg and performance at the Norwegian Theatre Academy Fredrikstad and was invited to the Körber Studio Junge Regie and Spieltriebe Festival Osnabrück. Since 2016 she has worked as a freelance director at the Hamakom Theatre Vienna, Staatstheater Mainz, Theater der Stadt Erlangen, Landestheater St. Pölten, NNT Groningen, Thomas Bernhard Institute Salzburg, Bregenz Festival, Lucerne Theatre and Theater im Marienbad Freiburg, among others. She works at the interface of contemporary spoken theatre, dance and music. In 2023, Jana Vetten staged the Stückemarkt opening Pirsch«, in 2024 she directs »Nora« in the Marguerre-Saal.
