Mona Marie Hartmann works as a costume and set designer as well as a scenographer. Born in Hamburg in 1990, she studied architecture (Bachelor of Science) at the Technische Universität Berlin from 2011 to 2015. In 2017, she completed a Master of Arts at the same university in scenography and stage design.
Since then she has continuously assisted Katrin Connan and Stéphane Laimé. Her own costume and stage designs as well as installations have been seen in Berlin, at the Theater Paderborn and the Landesbühnen Sachsen. She has been working with director Simone Geyer since 2018. At the Thalia Theater, she worked as costume and set designer on the staged reading »Das Nirvana Baby« and the production »nichts, was uns passiert«. In a team with Stéphane Laimé, she developed stage designs for the director Kornél Mundruczó at the Volksbühne Berlin and the Thalia Theater in Hamburg. At the Theater und Orchester Heidelberg she is responsible for the stage and costumes of »My Hell«.
