No Show Today
Clownesque children's play with puppetry / by Ingeborg von Zadow
Zwinger 3
Like every day, the two clowns Saffo and Kanda are preparing for their great performance. The costumes are ready, the music is running, but suddenly it's all gone pear-shaped: Teiro, the rope, who is always so reliable, and an essential part of the show, doesn't feel like it today and simply needs some time out. Teiro just cancels the show. No show today? Saffo and Kanda don't know where they're at. What will they do with their unexpected break? Perplexed, they return to their caravans. What shall they do? Watch TV? Crochet? For a little while, they enjoy their break, but sooner than expected, they miss each other.
Heidelberg playwright Ingeborg von Zadow has written a play for the Junges Theater Heidelberg that takes a cheeky look into how we return to each other after having had some time on our own.
This production is accompanied by a programme from the Arts & Education team.
