Martin Wißner

Martin Wißner was a permanent member of the ensemble at Theater & Orchester Heidelberg from 2013 to 2019, and returned to the permanent acting ensemble since the 2024/25 season.

He completed his acting studies at the Bayerische Theaterakademie August Everding in 2007. Even whilst still in training, he appeared in productions at the Bayerische Staatsoper and the Residenztheater in Munich, directed by Dieter Dorn.
From 2007 to 2013, he was a permanent member of the ensemble at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg, where he worked with directors such as Franz Wittenbrink and Klaus Schumacher, amongst others. Directed by Markus Bothe, he took on the title role in »Krabat« and played Jason in the production »Pornography« (directed by Sebastian Nübling), which was invited to the 2008 Berliner Theatertreffen. He appeared at the 2012 Heidelberger Stückemarkt in the production »Das Ding« by Philipp Löhle (directed by Jan Phillip Gloger). In addition to theatre, he also works in film and television; among other things, he was a regular cast member in the 2011 ARD series »Heiter bis tödlich – Nordisch Herb«.

At Theater & Orchester Heidelberg, Martin Wißner played, among many other roles, Andreas Kragler in »Trommeln in der Nacht«, Danforth in »The Crucible«, Maik in »Tschick«, and appeared very regularly at the Heidelberger Schlossfestspiele. Most recently, he has appeared in »Achtsam Morden«, »Völlig losgelöst« and »We Are Family«, amongst others.
