Martin Wißner completed his acting studies at Bayerische Theaterakademie August Everding in 2007. During his training he already appeared in productions at Bayerische Staatsoper and under the direction of Dieter Dorn at Residenztheater Munich. From 2007 to 2013 he was a permanent ensemble member at Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg, where he worked with directors such as Franz Wittenbrink and Klaus Schumacher. Under the direction of Markus Bothe, he took on the title role in »Krabat« and played Jason in the production »Pornography« (directed by Sebastian Nübling), which was invited to the Berlin Theatertreffen in 2008. He was a guest at the Heidelberg Stückemarkt 2012 with the production »Das Ding« by Philipp Löhle (directed by Jan Phillip Gloger). In addition to theatre, he is also active in film and television, including being a permanent cast member of the ARD series »Heiter bis tödlich - Nordisch Herb« in 2011. Martin Wißner was a permanent member of the ensemble at Theater und Orchester Heidelberg from 2013 to 2019, returning to the permanent acting ensemble for the 2024/25 season. His roles here include Andreas Kragler in »Trommeln in der Nacht«, Danforth in »Hexenjagd« and Maik in »Tschick«.
