After completing his acting training at Otto-Falckenberg-Schule in Munich, Hans Fleischmann was engaged at Bayerisches Staatsschauspiel, Nationaltheater Mannheim and Staatstheater Stuttgart, where he appeared in roles such as Hans in »Minderleister« (directed by Peter Palitzsch) and the Singer in »Marat / Sade« (directed by Johann Kresnik). After guest appearances at Staatstheater Wiesbaden, Theater Dortmund and Volkstheater Munich, he played at Berliner Ensemble from 1993 to 1997 and at Schaubühne Berlin from 1999 to 2001. He was then a member of the ensemble at the Nationaltheater Mannheim, where his roles included Engstrand in »Ghosts« and Theobald Friedeborn in »Das Käthchen von Heilbronn«. He also appeared as a freelance actor, among others, as Master Anton in »Maria Magdalena« at Stadttheater Bielefeld, as Puntila in »Herr Puntila und sein Knecht Matti« at Staatstheater Saarbrücken and as a speaker in »Eine Weise von Liebe und Tod« at Sagra Mucicala Maladestiana in Rimini. Hans Fleischmann has been a permanent member of Theater und Orchester Heidelberg since the 2011/12 season. Important roles in Heidelberg included Pierpont Mauler in »Die Heilige Johanna der Schlachthöfe«, the title character in »Nathan der Weise«, Schlomo Herzl in »Mein Kampf« and Hamm in »Endspiel«.
