Vera Semieniuk was engaged as a soloist at the Theater Dortmund directly after her vocal studies (Detmold, Munich, Augsburg, various master classes, Theaterakademie August Everding). Guest engagements have taken her to the Oper Frankfurt, the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, the Wiesbaden, Karlsruhe and Braunschweig State Theatres, the Landestheater Linz and the theatres of Augsburg, Kiel, Lübeck, Detmold and Münster. Her most important roles include Carmen, Cenerentola, Charlotte, Donna Elvira, Dorabella, Hänsel and Muse/Nicklausse. During her many years of engagement at the Theater Regensburg, she was able to expand her extensive stage repertoire, and was in particular demand there as an interpreter of world premieres (2012: Lola in »run Lola run«, 2017 Lea in »Freax«, 2018 Hannah Arendt in »The Banality of Love«, 2019 Elizabetta in »Elizabetta«). In the 2022/23 season Vera Semieniuk can be heard at the Theater Heidelberg as Muse/Nicklausse in »Les Contes d’Hoffmann« as well as 2nd Elf/Kitchen Boy in »Rusalka«. Numerous sacred and secular concerts, including with the Münchner Rundfunkorchester and the WDR Rundfunkorchester, as well as recitals in Germany and abroad form another important aspect of her artistic activity. Her concert repertoire includes works by Bach (St. Matthew Passion, Christmas Oratorio, cantatas, etc.), Berlioz (»Les nuits d'été«), Brahms (songs), Crumb (»Apparition«), Dvořák (masses, songs and duets), Handel (»Messiah«), Haydn (masses), Mahler (orchestral songs), Mozart (Requiem, masses and concert arias), Schönberg (»Pierrot Lunaire«), Skweres (world premiere of »Anakalypteria«) and many more. She is highly regarded as a chamber musician. Most recently she sang together with Anna Netrebko.
