Ipča Ramanović

Ipča Ramanović studied singing at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad and at the University of Music in Würzburg (class of Leandra Overmann). He is the winner of numerous international competitions. His first guest engagements took him to the opera houses in Bielefeld (in the title role of Millöcker’s »Gasparone«), Würzburg and Freiburg; at the Staatstheater Stuttgart he sang the leading role in the Turkish opera production »Gegen die Wand«. In the 2010/11 season, he was a member of the Opera Studio of the Komische Oper Berlin, where he performed, among others, the roles of Masetto (»Don Giovanni«), Farfarello (»The Love for Three Oranges«), Djuro (»The Red Zora«) and Schaunard (»La bohème«). In 2011, he sang the opening concert of the Julian Rachlin Festival in Dubrovnik with the Belgrade Philharmonic under the direction of Zubin Mehta. Further engagements followed at the Komische Oper Berlin and the Théâtre du Capitole in Toulouse. Since the 2013/14 season, he has been a member of the opera ensemble of Theater Heidelberg, where he has performed many major roles of his repertoire with great success – such as Guglielmo in »Così fan tutte«, Count Almaviva in »Le nozze di Figaro«, Papageno in »Die Zauberflöte«, Marcello (»La bohème«), the title role in Mozart’s »Don Giovanni«, Sharpless in »Madama Butterfly« and Escamillo in »Carmen« at the Heidelberger Schlossfestspiele.
