Lorena Díaz Stephens studied social sciences and design in her native city of Santiago de Chile and in Barcelona. In Germany, she completed a Master's degree in Media Architecture at the Bauhaus University Weimar. She has worked as a designer and as a stage and costume designer in Spain, Chile, Austria and Germany and has realized a large number of film, drama and musical theatre productions.
She has worked at the Munich Kammerspiele and the Schauspiel Frankfurt, the state theaters in Stuttgart, Wiesbaden, Hanover, Augsburg, Darmstadt and Saarbrücken, the Deutsche Oper am Rhein and the Leipzig Opera as well as numerous other theaters, including the Grillo Theater in Essen and the Schauspiel Dortmund.
