The Lithuanian soprano completed her vocal studies in Hamburg and Vienna. She has won several prizes, including the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg and the Hans Staud Music Prize in 2022, where she took third place and won the audience prize.
In 2022/23 Indre Pelakauskaite was a member of the Opera Studio at the communal theatres of the cities Krefeld and Mönchengladbach, where she performed roles such as Lisa (»La Sonnambula«), Kate Pinkerton (»Madama Butterfly«) or Contessa di Ceprano (»Rigoletto«). In 2022 she celebrated her house debut as Madame Jouvenot (»Adriana Lecouvreur«) at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein.
Her repertoire also includes roles such as Donna Elvira (»Don Giovanni«), Mimì (»La Bohème«), Ariadne (»Ariadne auf Naxos«), Climene (Gluck's »La Corona«) and Elisetta (Cimarosa's »Il matrimonio segreto«).
Since 2023/24 Indre Pelakauskaite has been an ensemble member at Theater und Orchester Heidelberg, with her role debut as Tatjana in »Eugene Onegin«.
