The Lithuanian soprano studied singing in Hamburg and Vienna. She has won several awards, including the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg and the Hans Staud Music Prize 2022, in which she took third place and won the Audience Award.
In 2022/23 Indre Pelakauskaite was a member of the opera studio at the Krefeld and Mönchengladbach theatres, where she performed roles such as Lisa (»La Sonnambula«), Kate Pinkerton (»Madama Butterfly«) and Contessa di Ceprano (»Rigoletto«). In 2022, she celebrated her house debut as Madame Jouvenot (»Adriana Lecouvreur«) at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein.
Her repertoire also includes roles such as Donna Elvira (»Don Giovanni«), Mimì (»La Bohème«), Ariadne (»Ariadne auf Naxos«), Climene (Gluck's »La Corona«) and Elisetta (Cimarosa's »Il matrimonio segreto«).
Indre Pelakauskaite has been a member of the ensemble at the Heidelberg Theatre and Orchestra since 2023/24, where she celebrated a great success with her role debut as Tatyana in »Eugene Onegin«, followed by another debut as Marzelline in the semi-staged production of Beethoven's »Fidelio«, with which the Heidelberg Theatre and Orchestra made a guest appearance at the Winterthur Theatre.
