Gaëlle Morello studied classical and contemporary dance at the Rosella Hightower International Dance Academy in Cannes. As a dancer she was a member of the ensembles at Stadttheater Hagen, Hildesheim and Fürth for several years. She has also worked on various projects in the freelance scene. In 2010, she received her diploma as a dance teacher at the Centre National de la Danse, Paris. She completed advanced training in dance medicine, Feldenkrais technique, body mind centering and kinesiology in Paris, Poitiers and Brussels.
Since 2008, she has worked as an artist and dance teacher for ballet and contemporary dance at various dance schools in Heidelberg and other cities in Germany and France. She also works as a training leader and choreographic assistant for professional dance companies. Furthermore, she teaches dance medicine, anatomy and movement analysis at several state dance academies. From the season 2013/14 to 2017/18, she lead the »Tanzatelier« at the Theater und Orchester Heidelberg. In the season 2018/19 she was the head of a dance club from the theater’s youth department for the first time and worked with children of primary school age.
Starting in the 2019/20 season, she will support the Dance Theatre Heidelberg (DTH) team as a dance pedagogue, thus enabling, among other things, the pedagogical preparation of a performance visit for school classes. The Club #4 of the Youth Theatre, open to everyone 14+ years old, also has a clear connection to Iván Pérez's current dance productions with the DTH.
