Theresa Immerz

Theresa Immerz has been a member of the ensemble at the Theater & Orchester Heidelberg since the 2022/23 season. The repertoire of the Ravensburg-born soprano includes roles such as Olympia in »Les Contes d’Hoffmann«, Berta in »Il barbiere di Siviglia«, Clorinda in »La Cenerentola«, Sophie in »Werther«, Jano in »Jenufa«, Frasquita in »Carmen«, Marzelline in »Fidelio«, Sophie in »Der Rosenkavalier« and Despina in Mozart’s »Così fan tutte«. At the Barockfest Winter in Schwetzingen, she appeared as Cephalia in »Ulysses«, as Barsine in »Nebucadnezar« – both operas by Reinhard Keiser – and as Venus in J. S. Kusser’s »Adonis«. She took on the soprano part in the world premiere of the European musical theatre project »Archiv der Stimmen«.

She also made her debut in April 2019 at the Baden-Baden Easter Festival with the Berlin Philharmonic’s Academy members, singing the title role in the world premiere of the opera »Clara«. Another title role followed in December 2020 in Freiburg in Gian Carlo Menotti’s opera »Amelia Goes to the Ball«. In February 2022, she appeared in the world premiere of Markus Höring’s chamber opera »Im Thurm« at the Landestheater Tübingen. She was awarded the prize for best actress for her portrayal of Frasquita in »Carmen« at the Schlossfestspiele Ettlingen in 2022. She was also a finalist in the Paula Salomon-Lindberg Competition in 2021.

Her artistic training was enriched by masterclasses with Prof. Marina Sandel, Prof. Christiane Iven, Prof. Malcolm Walker and Prof. Thomas Heyer, and through collaboration with conductors such as Elias Grandy, Clemens Flick, Dietger Holm, Marc Niemann and Prof. Scott Sandmeier. She gained further inspiration in the field of art song from Prof. Matthias Alteheld and Prof. Pauliina Tukiainen, as well as through the Trossingen Art Song Academy.

She studied singing at the Freiburg University of Music in the class of Prof. Katharina Kutsch.
