Theresa Immerz

Soprano Theresa Immerz, who comes from Ravensburg, made her debut at the Osterfestspiele Baden-Baden in April 2019 with the Academicians of the Berliner Philharmoniker in the title role in the world premiere of Victoria Bond's opera »Clara«. Another title role followed in December 2020 at the Musikhochschule Freiburg. There she sang Amelia in Gian Carlo Menotti's opera »Amelia goes to the ball«. In February 2022, she took part in the world premiere of the chamber opera »Im Thurm« by Markus Höring at the Landestheater Tübingen and most recently sang the role of Frasquita in the opera »Carmen« at the Schlossfestspiele Ettlingen 2022, for which she was awarded the prize for best actress. In 2021, she was a finalist in the international Paula Salomon-Lindberg song competition.
In the 2022/23 season, she made her debut at Heidelberg Theatre as Olympia in »Les Contes d'Hoffmann«, followed by roles such as the Dancer in Hans Gál's »Die heilige Ente« and Clorinde in Gioachino Rossini's »La Cenerentola«. She took on the soprano part in the world premiere of the European music theatre project »Archiv der Stimmen«. Theresa Immerz recently appeared as Cephalia in »Ulysses« and as Barsine in »Nebucadnezar«, both operas by Reinhard Keiser, as part of the Winter Baroque Festival in Schwetzingen.
She has also performed Bach's »St Matthew Passion« and Mass in B minor as well as various cantatas.
Her artistic training was enriched by masterclasses with Marina Sandel, Christiane Iven, Thomas Heyer and Noelle Turner and by collaborations with conductors such as Bernhard Gärtner, Morten Schuldt-Jensen and Scott Sandmeier. She received further impulses in the field of Lied from Pauliina Tukiainen and Matthias Alteheld as well as at the Liedakademie Trossingen. Theresa Immerz studied singing at the Freiburg University of Music in the class of Katharina Kutsch.
