André Kuntze

André Kuntze was a permanent member of the ensemble at Theater & Orchester Heidelberg from 2022 to 2026. He was born in Plauen in the Vogtland region in 1998. From 2015 to 2018, he worked as a supporting actor at the Theater Plauen/Zwickau. Whilst studying for and after completing his A-levels in 2017, he worked as a workshop leader and trainer in breakdancing, acrobatics and movement. From 2018 to 2022, he studied acting at Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch in Berlin. In 2011, he appeared as a guest in »Unendlicher Falstaff«, a production directed by Daniele Abbado and staged by the Staatstheater Cottbus for the Lausitz Festival. In 2022, under the direction of the Russian director and choreographer Maxim Didenko, he collaborated with the ensemble of the Deutsches Theater Berlin on a stage adaptation of Yevgeny Zamyatin’s novel »We«. At Theater & Orchester Heidelberg, André Kuntze appeared, amongst other roles, in the title role of »The Talented Mr Ripley«, as Karl Hergesell and Inspector Escherich in »Every Man Dies Alone«, and in the recital »Die Zeit fährt Auto«.
