Henriette Blumenau

Henriette Blumenau was born in Halle an der Saale in 1987. She studied acting at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna. During her studies she made guest appearances at the Burgtheater Wien, the Schlosstheater Schönbrunn and Schauspiel Frankfurt, among others. From 2010 to 2012 she was an ensemble member in the STUDIO at Schauspiel Frankfurt, where she appeared in productions by Oliver Reese, Lily Sykes and Laura Linnenbaum. This was followed by an engagement at the Konzerttheater Bern, where she played Sally Bowles in »Cabaret« (director: Mathias Schönsee), Katie in the solo play »Bunny« (director: Jan Stephan Schmieding), Gretchen in »Faust« (director: Claudia Bauer) and Eve in »Der zerbrochne Krug«, among others. In addition to the role work, several vocal projects with musicians from the Swiss jazz scene resulted. Since the 2015/16 season, Henriette Blumenau has been a permanent ensemble member at the Schauspielhaus Graz under Iris Laufenberg. There she had the opportunity to work with Claudia Bauer, Franz Xaver Mayr, Clara Weyde, Claudia Bossard, Alexander Eisenach, Markus Bothe, Stephan Rottkamp and Jan Stephan Schmieding. At the Nationaltheater Mannheim she can be seen as Zeitel in »Anatevka«. From the 2023/24 season, Henriette Blumenau is a permanent ensemble member at the Theater und Orchester Heidelberg.
