Katharina Quast was born in Duisburg in 1977 and studied acting at Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main from 1997 to 2001. After guest appearances at Nationaltheater Mannheim, she was engaged at Theater Augsburg from 2001 to 2005, where her roles included Margarete in »Faust I« (directed by Holger Schultze) and Antigonae in Friedrich Hölderlin's play of the same name. She was then a permanent ensemble member at Theater Osnabrück until 2011. Here she played roles such as Elisabeth in »Maria Stuart«, Okichi in »Die Judith von Schimoda"« and Gesche in »Bremer Freiheit«.
