Simon Mazouri is of German-Iranian origin and was born in Bad Mergentheim in 1992. He studied acting at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart from 2013 to 2017. During his studies, he already performed at the Wilhelma Theatrer and the Staatstheater Stuttgart. In the 2016/17 season, he completed the acting studio at the Staatstheater Darmstadt and played, among others, in »Orestie«, Frieder in »Auerhaus« and took on the title role in »Peter Pan«. From 2017 to 2020, Simon Mazouri was a permanent ensemble member at the Theater Baden-Baden. There he appeared in »Lehman Brothers« and in the title roles of »Don Karlos« and »Hamlet«, among others. He went freelance in 2020, continued to perform as a guest at the Theater Baden-Baden and took on the title role in »Volpone« at the Bad Hersfeld Festival in 2022, during which time he also created his two solo performances »Hamlet Variations« and »Xylo Rag Time«. As a classically trained percussionist, he is actively researching a fusion of music and drama. He also works regularly as a narrator for SWR and Arte. Simon Mazouri will join the acting ensemble at the Theater und Orchester Heidelberg from the 2022/23 season.
