Young Branko Babitsch has lost his mother and walks around aimlessly in the small harbour town of Senj. At the market square, his hunger gets the better of him and he reluctantly picks up a fish that someone has dropped. He is caught in the act and locked up at once. But help is coming in the form of a little red-haired girl: Zora. The witty Zora is leader of a band of parentless children that live together in a castle and scrape a living by playing tricks on people. Branko is welcomed into the band. For him, this means getting a family, a home and food all in one fell swoop. But the children are facing a huge challenge: Their only ally, the fisherman Gorian, is struggling to survive against the big fishing companies. Their motto is: stand together and be brave! Together, they’ll manage to hatch a plot to save their friend.
